What is an IFP?
An IFP is an Interactive Floor Plan. An Interactive Floor Plan is a web page link containing an as-built floor plan and imbedded photo icons, a photo gallery, agent and brokerage information, links to download floor plans and flyers, a link to download the IFP to a CD, and a link to email the IFP to a friend. Additional services are also offered, and include video and QR Codes.
What is your policy for posting Interactive Floor Plan links to Realtor.com?
If you would like us to post your IFP to Realtor.com, please check the box on the order form. This service is free if you have showcase listings with Realtor.com. If you do not have showcase listings with Realtor.com the fee is $25.
What is a Showcase Listing?
When you post properties to Realtor.com, they offer either a Standard Listing or a Showcase Listing. Showcase Listings are enhanced with extra photos and personalized branding.
More information.
Where can I use the IFP link?
The Interactive Floor Plan link can be used on any website, and as many times as you wish, for no additional fee. Once your IFP is complete and you receive the IFP links in your email, you can use them wherever you like.
Can HomeSight post the links for me?
We can post the IFP link to Realtor.com (additional charge will apply if you do not have showcase listings). In many cases, we can post the IFP link to your brokerage website or to the MLS, if access to those websites can be arranged.
If you need assistance in posting IFP links to your website(s), please contact HomeSight and we will be happy to help you.
How do I post a link on a website?
If you have access to the back-end of your website or your brokerage website, all you need to do copy the link that is emailed to you when your order is complete and paste it in the correct location on your listing revision page. In many cases, this location is where you would upload a virtual tour link, or an additional information link.
What is the difference between a branded and an unbranded IFP?
You will receive two links in your email when your order is complete; one for a branded IFP and one for an unbranded IFP. The branded IFP contains agent and brokerage information along with the Interactive Floor Plan and the unbranded IFP contains only the Interactive Floor Plan. The unbranded link is intended for use on websites where no agent or brokerage information is permitted, such as many MLS websites.
What if my phone number or my email address change?
If you are a registered user in HomeSight, log in to HomeSight, and click on the
Your Settings link at the top of the page to edit your user profile. All of your IFPs will be immediately updated with your new information.
There is an error on my order. How do I fix it?
Once an order is submitted, it cannot be changed by registered users. To make a change to an order, please call HomeSight and we will edit the order for you.
How do I stop statistic emails from being sent to me or my seller?
If the listing has sold and closed and you no longer need the IFP, then log on to HomeSight, go to your Active Orders tab, and click the Archived button for the property. HomeSight will be notified to archive the order, which will deactivate the IFP and stop all statistic emails to both you and your seller.
If a listing has expired, but may be relisted soon, then log on to HomeSight, go to your Active Orders tab, and click on the Expired button for the property. This will deactivate the IFP and stop all statistics emails to you and your seller.
Why am I not getting any statistics for my order?
You will automatically receive statistics on your five most recent orders. If the order is not one of your five most recent orders, the statistics email will not automatically generate.
If the order is not one of the your most recent five orders, and you wish to receive statistics on it, log on to HomeSight, go to the Statistics tab, click on the Manage Emails button for the property, and complete the information on the form.
If you are getting the statistics emails, but there are no page views for your IFP, please call HomeSight to verify that we have the most current MLS number. If the property has been relisted, the links must be reset to the new MLS number on all the websites that the IFP appears on. If the links are not set, there will not be any page views for your IFP.
How do I upload my own photos to use on the IFP?
To upload your own or your seller’s photos for use on the IFP or flyer, log on to HomeSight, go to your Active Orders tab, then click on the property address. Click on the Add Photos button on the left side of the page and follow the instructions. HomeSight will receive an email that you have uploaded photos, and we will add them to the IFP as soon as possible. Once your photos are added to the IFP, then you can use them on your flyers.
How do I download a complete IFP for off-line viewing?
The Download to CD Utility can be used to create a complete IFP which can be viewed from any computer, even without internet access. The Download to CD utility is accessible through the online IFP (click on the button of the left side of the page) or from a registered user’s HomeSight account by going to the Active Orders tab, clicking on the property address, and then clicking on the Download to CD button on the left side of the page.
The utility will first prompt you to save the zip file which will be created. Click on Continue to save this file. After the download is complete, a Downloads window should open; from there click on Open to open the zip file. Select the location and folder name to extract the files. After the files are extracted, open the folder where the files were extracted to and copy these files to a CD using a CD burning program. Note: copy the individual folders and files to the CD, not the folder that they are located in.
The 6 folders/files that you will need to copy will be named: Tours folder, Images folder, Floorplan folder, Javascripts folder, autorun file, 1stAutoRunExpressLaunder file.
What is your turnaround time?
HomeSight will publish the IFP within 2 working days after receiving the floor
plan and photo files from the HomeSight Dealer.
